Dr. Benyamin was elected president at the American Society of
Interventional Pain Physicians at the 11th Annual Meeting held in
Washington DC, June 2009.

Dr. Benyamin was awarded a gavel by Dr. Laxmaiah Manchikanti, ASIPP
Chairman and CEO.  Dr. Benyamin was recognized for his continuous
drive towards effective pain management.

Dr. Benyamin published his first article as President in ASIPP's Summer
2009 News edition where he challenged society members to expand their
knowledge and gain support for physicians who are qualified to perform
pain management procedures.  In the end, by expanding the goals of
ASIPP, pain management will increase patient care and establish high
standards for treatment.

This multidisciplinary meeting included pain management experts from all over
the world and brought them together in the city of Egypt.

The event promoted cooperation and coordination in
preventing suffering, prompt evidence based
medicine, and promoted information sharing among healthcare providers.

Dr. Benyamin was selected among the group to speak on topics that included:

  • Complications of Interventional Pian Management
  • Technical Review of Lumbar Discography
  • Update on Intrathecal Pumps drug delivery systems and its implication on
    patient care.
